I would like to recognise the Unity Grammar Eid Festival held on June 5th, which was a wonderful celebration of faith, community and belonging. The festival brought together learners, educators and parents to mark an important occasion in the Islamic faith and to strengthen the bonds that connect this vibrant school community. It was inspiring to see so many families come together to celebrate their shared values and traditions while passing them on to the next generation. One of the most memorable moments of the day was joining the community for Jumu'ah prayer and listening to a thoughtful khutbah delivered by Ustadh Ali Assaad. Seeing the entire community stand shoulder to shoulder was a powerful reflection of unity, faith and mutual respect. Days like this are about much more than celebration. They reinforce a sense of belonging, strengthen connections within the community and provide an opportunity to reflect on the values that bring people together. I was grateful to attend and congratulate everyone involved in making the festival such a meaningful and successful event.
