On Friday the 15th of August I had the opportunity to join the Liverpool Cancer Services Dry July BBQ hosted by Ladies Like to Lunch. Dry July is a fundraiser that encourages you to go alcohol-free for the month to raise funds for people affected by cancer. I would sincerely like to thank Antionette, and the Ladies Like to Lunch team for their efforts and dedication in putting together this communal fundraiser. It was all hands-on deck alongside my colleague the Member for Liverpool as we cooked over 400 snags to give out to those who supported the cause. The Liverpool cancer service centre has provided fully comprehensive ranges of cancer services since 1995. All funds collected help provide multi-disciplinary approaches to cancer care, with direct access to acute and surgical services. These services are critical to providing the resources and support for those in need. Thank you to the Oncology doctors, nurses, patients and supporters that came together to raise money for such an important cause.
