On 21 September I had the absolute pleasure of joining the Serbian community for the St Sava College annual spring fair, which is a joyful celebration of culture, heritage and togetherness. St Sava College is the only Serbian Orthodox school in Sydney, and it proudly contributes to the rich cultural and spiritual diversity of my great electorate of Leppington. The school is named after St Sava, who is known as the first teacher and protector of children. He dedicated his life to learning, kindness and helping others grow through education. Nestled on a stunning 176-acre property, the school is surrounded by natural local beauty that feels far removed from the surrounding urban sprawl. Since its construction in 2007, it has grown steadily from just a kindergarten class. It will open its first year 7 class from next year. On my recent visit to its new facilities, I was struck by the design spaces built for learning, connection, growth and legacy. I wish Father Radan and the school all the best
