I would like to recognise the Feast Day celebrations in honour of St Anthony of Padua, held on Sunday, 14 June 2026, which brought together parishioners, families and members of the wider community for a wonderful day of faith, fellowship and celebration. I was pleased to attend the celebrations and witness the warmth and generosity that characterise this parish. Despite the wet weather, it was heartening to see so many people come together to mark this important occasion and celebrate the enduring legacy of St Anthony. His example of faith, humility and service continues to inspire generations and remains at the heart of parish life. The Feast Day featured family-friendly activities, entertainment, food stalls and opportunities for people of all ages to connect and enjoy the festivities. It was wonderful to see families sharing in the celebrations and strengthening the relationships that make this parish such an important part of local life. I extend my sincere thanks to the organisers, volunteers, stallholders, entertainers and sponsors whose hard work and generosity made the day possible. Their efforts ensured another successful Feast Day and a memorable occasion for all who attended.
