The inaugural Snapparoos Olympic Gala Day, held on 3 August at Hoxton Park Reserve, was a fantastic celebration of community and sport. The event was seamlessly organised by Liverpool Olympic Football Club in collaboration with SNAPP and Southern Districts. This Football 4 All Gala Day brought together teams from Moorebank, Kemps Creek, Nepean, and Macarthur for a day filled with friendly competition, laughter, and camaraderie. But the event was more than that. Football 4 All was founded in 2008 and aims to create playing opportunities for individuals with disabilities while offering a support network for players, coaches, volunteers, and parents. It fostered a sense of collective identity, where participants and spectators united in support of their teams to enjoy thrilling matches, showcasing the talent and passion within our community. The addition of classic Aussie sausage sizzles and raffle prizes added to the festive atmosphere, making it a day of fun and connection. Events like these highlight the vital role sports play in our lives, providing opportunities for individuals to engage, socialise, and celebrate their shared love for the game.
