On 7 March, I had the pleasure of attending the Ramadan Eid Bazaar Festival at the Whitlam Leisure Centre in Liverpool. While just outside my electorate, this much-loved event, hosted by Multicultural Festivals Australia Inc, has been bringing communities together for over two decades years and continues to grow in popularity. The Eid Bazaar celebrates the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, a time of reflection, generosity and faith for Muslim communities. As Ramadan comes to an end, events like this create a joyful space for families and friends to gather, celebrate and share in the festive spirit. Markets, food, entertainment and cultural activities created a lively atmosphere for the Muslim community and the wider public to enjoy together. Celebrations like this strengthen community bonds, showcase cultural traditions and highlight the diversity that makes our region so special.
