It was a pleasure to join Hoxton Park Public School for their second Neighbourhood Block Party on 1 April. It was an event that brought the community together in a spirit of fun and connection. The afternoon offered something for everyone, from rides and face painting to a great selection of food trucks, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for families and visitors alike. One of the highlights was the lion dance performance, which added a special cultural energy to the celebrations. Events like this play an important role in strengthening ties between the school, local families, and community organisations. It was a wonderful way to mark the beginning of the school holidays, giving everyone a chance to come together, relax, and enjoy each other's company. My thanks go to the teachers, students, families, and local services whose efforts made the day such a success.
