Eagle Vale Anglican Church

19 March 2025

In late February I had the pleasure of visiting Eagle Vale Anglican Church to congratulate it on receiving $47,300 through the Community Building Partnership program. The funds have gone towards renovating the church's kitchen with new ovens, storage and an improved space for meal preparation. The upgrade will enhance its ability to serve the community in many ways. The church is not just a place of worship. It is a hub for education, social connection and support. Grounded in faith, it offers free English classes to help migrants build connections. It also runs inclusive activities for all ages, from karate and dance to knitting groups. It also offers a hip hop class, which I will not be participating in. Faith plays a vital role in the Leppington community, bringing people together and creating a strong sense of support and inclusion. I am always proud to stand with and support the many faith organisations that make a difference in the Leppington community and beyond. I congratulate Pastor Steven Thurgar and the whole team at Eagle Vale Anglican.
