It was a privilege to be part of the 2026 Dino Chrissimos Memorial Match at Hoxton Park Reserve, joining the best team, Coach's 11, to celebrate the life of someone who meant so much to Liverpool Olympic FC and the wider community. The day was an opportunity for club members, families and friends to come together, share stories, enjoy a game of football and remember Dino's lasting contribution to the club. A particularly meaningful moment was the unveiling of a memorial chair, creating a permanent tribute to someone whose legacy will continue to inspire future generations. As expected, the match featured plenty of laughs, friendly competition and the occasional dodgy call from the ref. Events like this remind us that local sporting clubs are about more than sport. They build lifelong friendships, create lasting memories and bring communities together to honour those who have made a lasting difference.
