Denham Court Islamic Centre Iftar

26 March 2026

On 14 March, I joined the Denham Court Islamic Centre's Annual Community Iftar at Denham Court Public School, where local families, leaders and residents gathered to share the spirit of Ramadan. The evening reflected a strong sense of unity, gratitude and connection, with people coming together in a welcoming and respectful space. For the Muslim community, events like this are especially important during Ramadan. They provide a place to gather, reflect and break fast together, while strengthening bonds and reinforcing a sense of belonging. They also create opportunities for voices to be heard and for communities to feel recognised and supported. It was encouraging to see school representatives, community leaders and families all contributing to such a positive atmosphere. Moments like these help build stronger, more connected neighbourhoods grounded in understanding and respect. My thanks to Shaukat, Asim and everyone involved in making the evening possible.
